I grew up Almaty,Kazakhstan. My first profession is Design Engineer. I received a Master of mechanical engineering diploma from the Polytechnic Institute In 1992. I am going into my twenty-five years of my mechanical engineering practice. My hobbies include: art, science, anime, reading, youtube, and learning new things. When you work on projects, what you actually do is learning about how scientific principles can be applied to real-life situations. Those principles were discovered after grilling through decades by eminent scientists and are not so easy to comprehend without a solid foundation. That is why we study Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics. If I talk about mechanics, it evolves, as for a mechanical engineering, from basic Newtonian mechanics to statics & dynamics, then strength of materials to advanced mechanics of solids, then to continuum mechanics and finite element method. You take a problem, even if it is solved before and try to solve it using engineering principles you know and you learn why your engineering education is useful and where it lags behind. You don't always need to create something new, but you should always learn something new and that should be the particular aim.
